The MSA Peace and Justice Commission (along with the Minority Affairs Commission and the NAACP) hosted an event entitled “Police Brutality: Contemporary Issues” on Nov. 19 in the Ambatana Lounge of South Quad. Former Black Panther Cleo Stevens discussed “the past, present and future of police brutality.” The event also presented students with information on how to deal with police encounters.
